Hi I need to share a bound with another account holder so that they can edit and have their own version. Should i use the duplicate button first before Activating public copying as we need to make sure our bound is not changed.

You don´t need to duplicate you bound. If you activate the Copy-Link and share this link, the bound will be duplicated into the second account anyway.
Your Bound won´t be affected from this.
Please keep in mind that option is for lincensed accounts only.
